Irudhi Suttru is a Tamil and Hindi bilingual film based on boxing, Irudhi Suttru is a come back film for Madhavan after a long time he is doing as a protagonist in Tamil.

In Tamil cinema every sports related films have a template, But Irudhi Suttru is different from that this were the film scores at initial, It breaks all the cliches that a sports related films have. Though it had some commercial elements like every other sports film it carried out very well  by Director Sudha.

Madhavan plays a role of a failed boxer and a well renowned coach for women’s boxing. He is rugged,a drunkard,he doesn’t cares about anything all he know is boxing, all he love is boxing. Madhavan carried out the role very well his mannerisms and dialogue deliveries are dumbstruck especially his acting in climax. Madhavan done many out of box role and Prabhu played by Madhavan will also be one of it. Female led Mathi played by Ritika Singh is a girl in the slum who sells fish her sister is a boxer so she also learns boxing side by side. Ritika lived in the character Madhi though she did looks like alien in that atmosphere Sudha gives a reason for it also so there is no problem in her scenes her lip sync also perfect. Every other supporting actors done their role perfectly it makes is film so realistic.

Sudha she had worked six years for this script and now she delivers it as her best. The big plus for this film is telling everything in the way really it is no melodramatic moments anywhere. Santhosh narayanan is a another pillar for this film every songs were awesome in their own ways, BGM is the main thing here his BGM’s were top notch which rises the pulse of every scene especially in interval and climax sequences OST’s were in par with Hollywood. Cinematography and Editing goes in hand by hand makes the film moves faster and no yawning moments anywhere.

Irudhi suttru Delivers a Knockout Punch, Must Watch Film Worth Your Every Single Penny, So Far The Best Tamil Flim in 2016. Don’t Miss It

Verdict: 3.75/5
